Not long at all. It will be fine. Just keep an eye on it. If it looks like its getting infected, do a 30% water change. It'll lose scales now and again

It's not that big of a deal, you'll notice a discolored scale for a while, but it will be fine. Just keep the water in good shape and he'll heal in no time

My guy has lost scales plenty of times. They grow back but may remain a different color for a while.

yup agree with the others, it should grow back quickly, just make sure water is ok, you can add some rock salt
