Hi folks,

I'm new here, my arowana doesn't eat.
recently I've just bought 30-35 small fishes and keep it in together with arowana in the tank.

my arowana seemed to treat those small fishes as tankmate n never eat it at all. noted that my aro is around 4" n the small fishes is 0.5" or 1".

Do u have any idea about this? please help?

Thank,
Robin

Welcome to MFK.

What's your filtration like? How big is the tank? What kind of Aro is it?

Besides what Benzjamin asked, how does the aro act? is it swimming around normally?

guys, it swimming around normally. n it's an australian aro.
the tank size is 1m x 0.5m. the filter is large enough for the tank. i even put activated carbon in it too.

thank

Its not reccomended that you feed feeders as they usually introduce parasites to your tank. Its best if you just go get some crickets, aros seem to be unable to resist them. And i find that most filters are overrated, they only measure the output without putting media into the filter itself, so the filter actually filters alot less when theres media in it. Might be a good idea to look into that.

how long have you had the jardini? it might be still getting use to it's new environment.

when did u take the australian aro to your tank?

Great questions. I'd like to know as well. Sometimes it's best to leave them stress free for a week or more.

possibly getting used to enviorment
