My Arowana is MIA!!!

So i just bought a little arowana about a week ago, put him in a 40 gal, left for the weekend, came back and no arowana??? I've kept them before (my last one got a little over a foot), so the top was pretty secure, the tank has like 20 zebra danios, and a 8" sengal bichir. the aro was about 5". my best guess is that he jumped out of the little crack between the filter and the tank... and my cats probably ate him. (they look pretty guilty). or my bichir ate him. i just thought i'd share my crappy end to a good weekend with all of you.
