Today, when I was feeding my Cichla feeders the arow happened to be right next to my Cichla and the second the feeders hit the water the Cichla splashed the top right over my Aro, water flying everywhere onto my carpet and I hear thumping on the ground. It was my Arowana! I quickly grabbed him (took forever) and threw him back in. He was OK, just a few missing scales. I don't know what happened whether he was lunging at the feeders to0 (seldom) or if he got spooked by the Cichla and jumped.
My question is, does this happen often and is there anything I could do to prevent any possible future Asian Arowanas from jumping out during feeding?
By the way, I have to admit that it was alot tougher than I thought to grab a flopping Aro. I will never critisize anyone again for taking too long.
