Just some pics of my 55g in the process of cycling for my future arowana. I have around 40 white clouds in there helping the process as well. There are also 3 big pieces of driftwood in there along with some plants. Rate the setup from a scale of 1 to 10 guys. Thanks :)

I like it because of the simplicity, except I prefer sand. Should give a lot of swimming room for an aro. IDK what to rate it.
 
yea i wanted to get black sand over black gravel but i chose gravel mainly because it is easier to clean and wont get in the filter as much. :)

looks great. What kind of arowana are you getting? any other tank mates you are considering?
 
i want to get a silver but i dont really want an arowana with DE since they tend to get DE most of the time, so i was looking into getting a black arowana or a jardini but now more towards the black. I was planning to get some peacock bass with the arowana but if i dont then maybe ill just stick with 2 or 3 arowana + a definately yes to some bichirs as they look awesome. :)

that's nice! how much are white cloud mountain minnows where you are at? I don't know why there are so expensive down here :(
BTW, what other tank do you have lined up? Any species of aro is gonna outgrow that really fast!
