i got him yesterday and hes not eating the dried shrimp , flakes , or pellits... Any outher things i can feed him that arent live?

and where could i pick them up im going food shopping today for my fish so this would help.

My silver Arrowana would not eat anything but crickets and feeder guppies when I got him but eventually he changed over to freeze dried krill and shrimp and eventually flakes. Now I can feed him anything at all. anything that moves thats small or anything that floats. Just be patient with it.

you might just want too wait and see if it eats them in a few days, being new and all it just might not want too eat.
you say you dont want live foods but my RTGs diet is about 80% superworms, the last 20% is a mix of crickets, butterworms and soon too be roaches if it will accept them.

you might have luck with krill, beefheart, market prawns.

I might go pick up some crickets but i dont have a cage for them or anything.. XD But im gona try and get him to eat pellets and shrimp...

and i just looked at the temp on my tank and my jaw dropped its 78... my heater is broken so i have to go buy 2 new ones today so that might be why hes looking a lil lazy:confused:

Makes me feel a lil better when i first got him he was looking a little sick but now that hes in my tank hes getting really active and his color is getting very shiny :)

i got 24 crickets and im gona feed them potatos and carrots for a few days then see if he will eat 1.. im thinking of also getting some archer fish i saw those and im like :WHOA:

should be feeding real soon. just wait for a few days.

archer fish not sutible to house with aro cos they are semi-salt water fish? ;)

dident plan on putting them with him... considering they are both top to mid water fish would be bad my arow would be eating some archers sooner or later.. was just curious about them. but i guess that there are freshwater archers :screwy:

Also its always good to have some salt in your fw tank to help with the scales and outher ****..
its like 1 ts for every 10 us gallons or something.? but i dont put much in there anymore only after watcher changes
