Got this guy a few weeks ago. He's posted up in a nice spot under the driftwood that is dead center in my 150g tank. I'm due for a tank upgrade... I believe he's an atabapo I, but when he flares, I can see faint bars along his back that remind me of small juvie atabapo II's. He eats massivore, hikari sturgeon pellets and floating carnivore sticks.

Awesome looking pike man! My uncle has a pretty aggressive lepidota pike, how is he aggression wise?

the pike isn't very aggressive. he doesn't harass or attack anyone, but he stands his ground.

i'm hoping his red intensifies covers the rest of his body... keeping my fingers crossed.

Nice! How did you manage to pellet train it in a matter of weeks?

he was already on pellets :headbang2

i had 2 other pikes before. they went from live to dried shrimp then to pellets. thats usually my recipe for success. i put pellets in the container with dried shrimp so the scents and flavors can mix. seems to work for me.

Interesting, glad it worked out for you mate! What size is he? Looks like my female atabapo :) Got her last week, not eating yet
