My attempt at KAMFA

hey guys

recently i went to my lfs (exotic fish connections to the aussies) and purchased a pearly ZZ male, about 17cm and he is a nice guy too!!!
i also bought myself a Vieja, it is a pure white female fenestratus about 17cm! (yes im sure its a fene, and its not pink ) i plan to breed these and get myself some kamfa, and raise a few select fry, im hoping as the marbled gene is recessive that most will take the colouration from the father


and tips on how to get them to breed (in a 4ft) are appreciated as well as conditioning

Since they are so different, they could or could never. No one can really know.. But if you really want to breed them and they don't form as a pair, U might have to keep them together for a long time letting them get used to being with each other.. Then later throw in awkward fishes like some Pacus or something letting the both of them feel like their territory is being invaded and both attack the invading fishes. U might create a chance for them to bond that way due to them used to each other in the territory and that the invaders are wierd fishes they cant ever breed with and find attraction in each other (because they r both ciclids.)

Not guaranteed because if they don't want to then they dont want to.

but hey. I've form pairs this way b4 didn't have to use weird fishes. i used smaller cichlids. Must be smaller so they can dominate and not be attracted to. If you throw in a female FH that boy gonna run off with her and your Fene got no chance lol

update: while the female is recovering in the hospital tank my 10cm male sgt is attempting to court her and is cleaning a flowerpot

i dont know if they will breed but will keep this posted.

u cant get kamfa with bp or kkp
