Just wanted to share, it's so hard to take a clear pix of the little dude. Finally got one, but geez did it take a little while. Happy and healthy and will soon be in it's new home in a 180 gallon tank with black background, green sand and some black lava rocks.
Thanks, I feed the little dude hikari food sticks, hikari carnivore sinking pellets, FD shrimp, gut loaded crickets and FD crickets. I also mix spirilina powder and axtaxanthin powder
but i had to give it a go... bought my baby silver at around a tiny 2inchs long for $200AU... that was around 5 months ago in a 3x2 tank...
now 5 months on, he is around 13 inchs/just over 1 foot long and housed in one of my 5x2x2's...
im guessing that within another 2 months or so, i'll either have to upgrade tanks again or sell him...
but either way... the experience of owning and growing out this awsome fish is something i highly recommend... as they say.... " better to have loved than not loved at all..?? " .... or something like that...lol
i wouldnt be confined to the notion that u must keep the fish forever...
