Ok, finaly finished up the tank for the Caribe's a got a couple of weeks ago. It is a temp home untill they are large enough for my larger tank. (450g)

Tank is 65g acrylic. Filtered by 2 AC70's and a 75g sump. Return from the sump is a MAG12 split off a couple of ways to reduce direct flow. I have approx. 2 gallons of Eheim Substrat Pro in the sump with it in the third stage. Second stage is the Eheim mech rings. First stage is a 10 micron sock feeding 3 to layers of filter floss.

The system is also on a drip for water changes, approx 25-30g a day. Water is ran through a 2 stage particle/carbon filter. (Ill never have another tank without an auto water changer...)

Heating is done with a 1000w. Titanium probe controlled by a Ranco controller. Temp differential is set at 2 degrees. Tank is at 76-78f. Also have 2 wireless temp probes to ensure that no overheating occurs....

Tank is fed 5x a day, 2x's with frozen raw shrimp soaked in Zoa, 1 time with carnivore pellets, 1 time with Hikari Gold and 1 time with Prime Reef flakes. Some feedings are controller with an auto feeder.

I am using 3m sand, a mix of t grade black and s grade white. Tank is 1/2 full with driftwood, and the other half is wide open.

Tank is currently stocked with 9 Caribe's at approx. 2-3 inches.

I will post pics when I can, but of course I haven't taken any yet.

Sorry if I have overlooked anything. I basicaly wanted to post this for feedback.

Thanks,
Chris

Chris, the setup sounds great for those little caribes, with the auto drip system to keep the water clean and the feeding schedule they will grow like weeds. can't wait for pics

can you share some info on your drip system? I'm planning on adding one to my 180g once I put it behind a wall. running a 70g sump and I haven't figure out the best way of getting the waste water out of the system yet....don't really want to drill the sump.

thanks

first time i've ever heard of a sump bigger that the tank....Good job! i know nothing about caribe... but keep us posted and add some pics!
