I'm just curious of what everyone thinks, its only about 3 1/2in and I was just wondering what sex it might be, I'm pretty sure its a girl but I want to be positive before I get another one. Sorry if the pictures are kinda fuzzy the camera isn't that great and there's a couple smudges on the tank glass.

Nice GT. I am gonna say Male. The fins are vibrant with color. thats what i have used when buying them small and so far so good for me. the females fins will be a darker green and body will normally be darker as well. I could be wrong on my sexing method but while they are under 3" if im looking for a male i will look for the one with brightest fins and lighter color on the body. good luck.

Colors say male. Fins say female.

Wait untill it gets a bit older and you'll be able to see if the dorsal and anal fin will get "pointy" instead of rounded, and that would be a male if it is, female if rounded like now

If it does turn out to be female how big will she get? I've heard some mixed things like if she breeds then she wont grow anymore and will stay small, but if I keep her without a male then she can get fairly large.

pics says a female and i am 100% sure.
I got the same vibrant colored female.:irked:.
and i paid the price of a male.:irked:
what i want to know now.
what you guys mean by breed
cos mine just laid eggs but just watching the red devil who was on the other side of the glass.
what will be the size of my female now.

Female. fins are short and rounded, colors are drab (your using a flash which is lighting the fish up unnaturally I do believe), and I can see the two lines on either side of the spot, indicating to me, a female.
