He came to the front of the tank just long enough for me to grab a quick photo. He is only around 1.5-2 inches the now. The photo does have an Instagram filter on it, the wood he is beside cast a shadow, so needed to lighten it up a bit.

P.s tanks weekly W/C is tonight, hence all the pleco crap at the stones haha

Gorgeous! I had 5 about a year ago that all started about that size. They are super personable. I had a couple of mine able to hand feed them.

^ be careful about plecos and bichirs, senegals are pretty active so maybe it wont go after it but plecos suck slime coats off slow moving fish like some bichirs, gars etc (i should say fish that like to hang out in one spot for a long time). The damage is pretty bad when it happens, some people have good luck keeping them some dont, keep the pleco well fed and it will be less likely!

Nice lil guy though! they really prefer sand too less rough on their stomachs
 
The pleco is well fed, fresh veg several times a week. I know they prefer sand, the gravel I have is very rounded, never had an issue with it before and that was with eels, and several catfish species. If there does appear to be issues with the pleco I do have a second tank I can move the pleco into.
