I had one very similar.
Does he try to get you when you’re in the tank for maintenance? Mine did, every time I was in the tank for something he would sneak up a pinch me pretty good.

Oh yes. He hasn't gotten me yet, because I know to cordon him off to the opposite end if my hand is going into the tank. I've been bit by a couple of other midas over the years though.
