****ING ****!!!!!!!!!

WHY DID THIS HAPPEN? I CANT FIGURE IT OUT!?!?!?!?! I THOUGHT WATER CHANGES WERE GOOD??????

ALL I DID WAS A 40% WATER CHANGE AND I GET THIS!!!!!

after the water change he had every fin erected and was just drifting upright

then after i got out of the shower he was upside down on the bottom but still breathing

i woke up this morning to find him dead and colorless

i buried him in my garden, he was a massive tinfoil barb almost twice the size of my hand and to think i though he was 10 inches.

R.I.P my friend

b.t.w- i got this guy as a gift on christmas had him for almost 3 years :( .

Do you do 40% on regular basis? Because if you usually do some 10% or so water changes and then one day decide to do 40% you will just stress out the fish which may lead to what happened there.

Anyway, really sorry to hear about the loss. Was a great looking fish there.

My condolences. The other fish seem to look ok so it might not have been the water change.

Awwww...hunny, my sympathy goes out to ya! I know how you feel....Your wondering what you did wrong....It may not be your fault...He may have just died of natural causes!

Do you water change with a python? Do you leave the python above water level when you put water back into the tank? Did your tap water possibly change paramaters?

That sucks dude. :( He was a monster barb!

sory to hear about your loss. i also lost a large tinfoil barb i had for a few years. i had put drift wood into his tank. Throughout the week i did several water changes just to make sure everything was clean. i think that stressed him out to much. He looked fine. The next day he was dead, and so was my pacu.

no miles, i did it different, i attached an old garden hose my siphon with steel clamp and ran the hose into the street then i filled the tank with the yard hose and add a small amount of dechlor as it fills up reducing chlorine stress.
