Hello,
I have a 180 gallon tanks with some beautiful fish. I am going to either start unloading some cichlids soon, or buy another tank.
Anyway, 2 months ago, I purchased a 1.5 inch jag with a 3 inch JD and 2.5 inch GT at petsmart.
I put them in the tank (I have 250 lbs of lava rock) and just never saw the jag again. Figured he was eaten or died.
I was frustrated, so I bought a female dovii 3.5 inches, male festae 3.5 inches and a 3 inch Jag from Rapps.
Well, today I did a major cleaning, water change and rock shift in the tank.
I found the little 2 inch jag. He picked a spot and LAID CLAIM TO THE PLACE AS HIS OWN!!!
When my now 4 inch dovii swims by, she gets ambushed and moved quick. The little jag just goes after her!!!! She runs away in horror!!! The he started going after my 4.5 inch JD and moved him!!! It is very fun to see as he or she isn't hurting anyone. I just wonder what will happen when it gets bigger.
Now, my dovii is no push over as she occasionally puts my JD and GT in their place.
The Rapps jag is incredible to look at but stays hidden in the rocks all the time. But I did see it today and it is just amazing to look at. So beautiful.
The little jag doesn't look nearly as good, and is very dark but is just a BEAST. Only 2 inches long and staking its claim to territory.
Wow. I couldn't stop laughing.
Is this normal for a small fish???
Mike
