I just purchase a bamboo cat shark yesterday and he won’t eat. He is in my 180 gallon tank and the water conditions are good. He doesn’t even seem interested in food I have tried gold fish which my local fish store told me they were feeding him and he was haply eating them and I also tried some fresh shrimp with no luck is this normal, what would you suggest?

thanks ill try to get some pics of him and he is probaly 8 inch or smaller im worryed about him/her and were would i get squid

Yeah - Gold fish or any freshwater fish(guppies, mollies, etc) are very bad for sharks. Basically it's like feeding a child a diet of candy and junk food.

The best choices for food - fresh Shrimp, crab, sw fish, scallops or squid. Cut into tiny bite size pieces.

Most stores that sell human quality sea food will have some great fresh food for your new shark.
