I diceded to go for barbs because I wanted something that would grow big enough and be hardy that it could live with my arowana , thats why I dicded to buy them one year before my arowana so they can have enough time to grow large enough that the arowana wouldnt eat them. My barbs which are 2 tinfoil barbs 11.5 inches, 2 lemon barbs 12 inches and 3 silver sharks which one of them is 11 inches and the other two are 7 inches .I got the barbs earlier then the arowana because in the past I had two large silver arowanas and when they grew more then 1.5 feet in length it was imposible to put something small and new with them with out them eating it. Unfortunataly my silvers died when they grew to 2.5 feet in length after i tried to move them in a new tank and I had to start from the begining which was a new oportunity to introduce new fish to my new tank setup, now that all the fish I wanted to get in this new setup are large enough I got my first black arowana and it seems to be doing fine together with the barbs. Here are some pictures of the barbs.
