So the past two days my mono has been doing the shimmy and darting and acting strange, also his fins are pinned back most of the time, and sometimes looks like he's gasping for for air. So I bumped the temps up and added some salt, and some quick cure, he's in a 180 water is perfect. I'll be doing 50% water changes daily, what do you guys think these are symptoms of? What's weird is I have a pair of pikes in there showing no sings of distress

What is the temp at now? If the fish are doing that. Signs of ick are coming around. I suggest bumping the temp to around the 86* range ands salt. That quick cure does work as well just gotta give it time

maybe u can give us some more info like how long the tank has been established, water parameters (temp, PH) . any changes u did to the tank recently? added in live feeders? new fish?

I agree...bump temp to 86-87 and add aquarium salt. You must have a lot of surface agitation and oxygen in the water(air pump w/ air stones), and leave it at this temp. My guess is your water is in the 70s....?

As far as salt goes, I have some pretty expensive plecos in there too. I can put in another heater and get the temp up. No feeders just pellets and occasional nightcrawlers for the pikes. Their is a new fish in the tank, though its huge jag who seems fine. Temp is at 80.5 pH is 6.5

Thanks for the quick replies. Should I go ahead and pick some prazipro invade this is a gill fluke deal, or stick with the formalin/malachite green

Sounds like Ich is rearing its ugly head. Get the temp up to 88-90, add salt, after doing a water change.
