My largemouth bass stopped eating a few days ago. On about Jan. 9th he ate the last of the feeders. A few days later I bought some and tried to feed him. He has been reluctant to eat ever since. He did lock lips with my oscar which I have never seen before. I later noticed signs of Ich on my Oscar so I immidiatly started treating; 25%+ water changes with daily applications of "RidIch" brand medication. On the day of the third treatment prior to any medicating I noticed signs of recooperation so of course I continued to treat. The Oscar never really changed attitude he was still very active and always excited to see somone walk by. His appetite never decreased and other than signs of ich he was in great shape. I really need to get my bass in good shape ASAP I cannot lose him

If anyone can help it will be greatly appreciated!

Thank you.

Also ....

My oscar and bass have been in the same tank for 2+ months with no serious agression/territory problems. I have had the bass since it was basicly fry and I belive his temper is somewhat mild because I kept him with 3 medium/large goldfish. He sits near the heater and seems to have labored breathing

If you've had him since he was a fry you should have kept him off feeders. A good pellet diet is healthier for him. Feeders are often disease ridden. Also Largemouth bass are a cold water species and should not be kept in tropical conditions.

i agree with jimmy on everything except the last part. largemouth bass thrive in warm water and thats why the florida strain is so much larger than northern lmb.

If I was religious I would say some ficticious charactor claiming to be our savior has "hooked" my lmb on a shad rap and now he is in "the Lords" pond in the sky

But I'm not, my bass died this morning total of 9" and he's about to be mounted haha
