My bearded dragon died.

I had him for six years. He battled with some kind of disease or parasite for a couple years, but he finally gave in. We took him to the vet when it first started, but they didn't know what it was. They gave us some meds and it helped for a while, but it kept coming back. He was my first big lizard.

thats sad. Just as a side note as i own uromastyx and it is a very uniuqe lizard. Next time call around with someone who has lots of experience with your animal. ESPECIALLY with it being a reptile.

Dude my bearded dragon lived on our screened in porch in the summer. He would chase blue berries and grapes across the floor with my brothers green iquana. He would climb up and bask in the hanging plants, such a serean and peaceful animal. One day several years ago a friend was over and they pointed at him and said it looked so real, I laughed and went to pick him up and he was dead as a door nail, posing like a statue. 7 years (the average live span) seems like such a short time when they leave. He was my first long term longest lived and most loved lizard.

Im sorry for your loss gearhead, never easy losing a pet you have had for many years, i lost my female golden taild gecko early this year, she was eggbound too with just made it worse.

RIP gearheads beardie.
