My Bearded Dragon Tank

Sometime next week I should be picking up a baby 5-6 inch beardie. early next week I will be able to get the last of the supplies I need and then I will get one.

Since I am using a 55 gallon and there is the issue of height, I added a bunch of play sand from home depot to cut out the distance between light and bottom. I am gonna put reptile carpet over the sand so it doesn't have access to the sand. I might also put some cloth under the carpet so there is another barrier between the 2.

Well I got paid sooner than I though so I went and got him today after all. I picked out the largest, most active baby there.

I'll keep that in mind. Theres no sand on the carpet and theres no access to the sand underneath.

What a good nighttime temp?

Its carpet!? Nice, I thought it was sand. Nighttime temps...I would say high 60's close to 70's. What are you intending to feed him for insect prey?

Yeah I have like 2 bags of play sand underneath to raise the bottom of the tank and then carpet over it. Right now I have some small crickets and small mealworms. Alright good its been mid 70's in my room. i need to pickup some greens for it. I love the color on it, they had some brownish orange ones and some greys. They only that bugged my about the way they were kept was the humidity was 80-90. Its about 35-40 in the tank.
