Niiiiice! The plat looks siiiick on black susbstrate. Is that the 'tahitian moon' sand from petsmart?

What sizes are they? Your plat looks thick. The longfin albino looks semi-sb.

i bought it as black quartz.

platinum is 9" n albino lf is 7"

Beautiful bichirs. I envy your bichirs collection. I wish I could get my hands on a platnum. There is only one guy here that carries them. How come your albino is so white? My albino has a yellowish white to it. The bichirs sure looked bigger than 9" from the pics. I cannot wait till my bichirs grow to that size.

I'd point to lighting and diet. Aside from genes too.

My sb albino was bright orange when I bought it a year ago, but that was just some weird food they were feeding it.

A couple months later it faded to normal white/yellow color.
