My biggest one yet..

Just bought my pleco the other day for $20 and he's about 8.5" inches. His grey, brown and black markings reminded me of our cat that we had to put down the other day.. So i couldn't resist..

His color changed when he was in transport (obviously)

I'll get better pics when he's more active, he's still getting used to the tank..

looks like a pterygoplichthys disjunctivus. the pterygoplichthys are are some of my favorite plecos.

Ya know, I really think thats what it is now that I closely examine him in my tank, like I said the pics don't really do the justice of his size or color.

nice pleco man, ive always loved em. My water doesnt seem to like em though, always had a hard time keeping em. Looks like were only about 2 hours apart, i live about 10 mins from Havre de grace. Glad to see another marylander on board

Thanks for the reply man, hopefully he'll be okay with my water. We're on well water around here but all my other fish and him seem to be doing fine..

And I'm on the other side of the bay bridge on the eastern shore

most of the "common" pleco species tend to be fairly hardy. he will probably do ok.
