my bisher is suicidle

Yesterday I walk linto my room and by 5inch long bisher is lying on the ground. I intantly grabed him and he was already dry and stiff i figured for sure he was dead with how dried up he was and his eyes look really bad. but in a vein attemp t that he was alive I through him in the tank... he sank to the bottom I was goin to try and revive him but I had cleaner on my hand and needed to go wash them first so I left ended up getting distracted came back 5 min later HE WAS SWIMMING AROUND.. I was amazed he still looked supper ruff but he was alive it was incredible. the rest of that day he look swollen and slow but alive. this morning he is looking even better yet, I'm expecting he should recover hopefully.

bichirs have a special lung like a snakehead's which they use in the wild to survive droughts, i am sure this is the case with yours. he should be fine if he is not physically injured, good luck!
