He lost one of the scales on top of his head in the first set. It is a pretty large scale. Not sure how he did it. He is eating finem and I did a large water change today just as a precaution. Anything else I can do to help him? I know some add Melafix and Prima fix to help speed the process. I have 3 tinfoils, a fei feng, and a Royal CK in the tank and I would rather stay away from chemicals if I can. Tank temp is at 82 degrees and all parameters are good.

You should be fine, add a dash of salt with the temp where its at...golden. How big is your guy? Post a pix:D

don't stress.. mine lose something every week..

The scale has started to heal however I noticed last night that my aro was breathing pretty hard. I added a second air pump this morning hoping that would help. He did not eat last night or this morning. What could cause this? It looks like he is trying to cough something up!
