Very nice! What other species of labeos do you in there? They are just one of those underrated monster fish that not many have them. Been looking for some other species as well. I only have a 12.5" black shark.

Thanks

So far, Labeo barbatus, Labeo calbasu, Labeo ruddi, Labeo boga in the same tank. Two albino black sharks in a grow out tank. I did also have a Labeo rubropunctatus and a Labeo parvus. Oh, plus there is the Labeo bicolor.

Nice collection! I think I must get a black shark now.

Thanks. Yeah, you wouldn't regret it. I have had her 14 years so far.

Wow, 14 years is a long time in fishkeeping, she is a lucky fish to be at such a good fishkeeper! What is the growth rate?

What the size of those labeo boga? I keep backing out on getting one as I thought they grow smaller. Been looking for those that get up to almost 10"+. Black shark and variegated shark are the two that I can only think of. So I only got black shark. Any other that get 8-10"+

Thanks. To be honest, I cant remember. Growth is generally fairly rapid to start. She has put on growth spurts each time she went through a tank upgrade.

My boga is about 10" total length, I've not seen any that are anywhere near as big as this one (if anyone has one, please post details/pics), so no idea if mine has maxed out yet. cool fish albeit a bit boistrous, especially at feeding time. There are loads of labeo's that grow bigger than 10", the barbatus and calbasu I have will, the rubropunctatus I used to have did, the parvus gets a tad larger at 12". Cylindricus (I'm trying to source some of these at the moment). If you look at ones like rohita, they get truly monstrous, so I have turned these down in the past.

They are worth getting. I wee bit more colourful than the majority of the Labeo family.

Here is mine at various stages.
