I have 3 blood parrots; two are about 8", while the third is only 4". they argue, fight, and chase each other around all day. never actually hurt each other, but still. then, come night, i always see them all huddled together in a little cave like they're best buddies.

Mine did that too for months when they first met each other. Now they still chase each other around some, and pick on each other mildly, but they always cuddle up together for good night snores. They're so cute. ^_^

I have two and they are so amusing, I love their personalities.

Story..
I had rearranged my tank for whatever reasons, I had ended up making this little bridge thing with some flat rock I had. So as I'm still rearranging the male BP (about 6") trys to stick his fat little body through the little bridge thing I had made.
I notice this, so I add some height to the bridge and as soon as I did... he goes through it.. and over and over again.. he was having so much fun...!!

I also like when they bump each other..

lol. yeah I have tons of bp-ish fish (parrots, but they're crossed with things and kkp)
My favourite thing that they do like this is when two parrots are flaring, going back and fourh, "bickering" fighting or whatever,
since I have so many parrots, the other parrots in the tank will immediateley take sides in the arguement, they form a circle around them, just like people, and every once in a while, a bigger parrot will jump between them as if to say "okay thats enough break it up". Its funny to see them form alliances like this.

Its also funny when they're hungry, and I'm standing in front of the tank, they will all line up in a perfect row mid-water, and wait for me to feed them.

Parroty cichlids are cute as hell

I got a 2" blood parrot with a 4" oscar. Whever the oscar eats, the BP likes to hang around right below my oscar and eat the pieces comin out its gills. Whenever the BP gets a pellet too big.....it takes the pellet in its mouth and scrapes it against the clay pot tryin to break it off.

My Oscar and BPs would do the same thing when they were little.

My BP was doing some strange maneuvers around the Clown Loaches. Before I grabbed the camera, the CLs were all over the BP like they were eating parasites or something off her body. The pictures I took seemed like the BP was trying to get the CLs to come back and do it some more.
