My Blue Crawdad Molted and Grew Some Big Ass Claws

His claws are now about 3/4 the length of his body. When I picked him out in the LFS the blue 'dads were in a tank with one rock that was a tunnel and Blue was the one in it, king of the rock with his already big claws. He also lost a little of his blue which was super bright blue after his first molt since I'd had him; this is his second molt.

That's a very cool looking crawdaddy.

Years ago I caught some small crawfish to use as feeders for some of the cichlids I was keeping at the time. They all looked normal color and all but one was eaten. The one who hid out and survived molted and turned blue. I had never seen a blue crawfish before that time. They weren't readily available in the hobby. Unfortunately, he didn't ever grow big claws like yours.
 
That is a pretty cool crawdad. The pics needs a word bubble or a caption for it saying in a grouchy old man voice, " You kids get off my lawn!"
