Just obtained a pair of blue marrons thought I would share some pics. Since I took the pictures I have removed the java moss. The male got stuck in it after the photo shoot.

Unfortunately, that is not a Marron. It is either a Cherax destructor or Cherax albidus (Common yabby) but definitely not a Cherax tenuimanus or Cherax cainii. Nice looking specimen though, where did you get it from?

thanks crusty for the info. How large can I expect these guys to get then? Should I try to get any of my money back?

They are really pretty. They ae about three inches right now. I wanted the marron because of tis large full grown size. I won't lie I am a little disappointed that the pair is not tenuimanus. I guess I am now looking at eight inches full grown? Also is there any major difference in husbandry for these guys then the tenuimanus? Thanks

Also Crusty could you tell me what to look for to make a final positive identification?
Just curious are the dark blue cherax lobsters that aquascape posted for sale in the sales forum a Cherax tenuimanus? They have really small claws though.

Where did you find them???? I am in Las Vegas, NV and cant find any cherax.... would love destructus but, found cherax 'none'-icus. If you would be so kind as to lead me in the right direction. I would not be so "BLUE" with envy
