That's what I was thinking, but awesome fish. I've always wanted one.
 
VERY temporary home for other fish, I'm cycling new home now.
 
Bowfins are very cool fish...
Keep us posted on this guy. I've caught big ones fishing but never had one in a tank yet...
 
in my experience bowfins are overrated. i have a 13 incher that is pushed around by all his tankmates. if anyone lives close enough and wants himm then feel free to pm me. thx
