Are they very old? Have you kept them long?
How are they with the plants?

Motoros are about 8 months the Leo x BD 6 months. The Motoros I've had since march. The Leo 4 days so far. The plants I have are deep rooted through a Perspex tray I've padre which sits under the sand and means they can't move them. At one point I used to have 16 inch oscars which never managed to pull them up. I know they will when the rays are full grown. No matter what. But I'm enjoying the plants in the tank for now while I can and will continue to grow the in the sump to keep the advantages of them if/when the rays start uprooting them.

It is a great idea with the plants - i always like to see a bit of greenery in aquarium.
