When I brought my first ball home my brother was sooo scared of snakes, ever since he held it though he had to have on of his own.......So at the Hamuburg Reptile Expo yesterday he got his first.......It's a big male okeetee corn snake, pretty close to 3 and a half feet.....

Here's pics of him holding it and then it in its cage......

nice snake man..

Three and a half feet eh? Mine was that long when I got him and he's a six-footer now, so I'd say your brother's still has a bit of growing to do. Beatiful snake though, really a winner. I don't think you can beat a good Okeetee corn, but maybe that's just my South Carolina pride speaking.

:)

Thanks guys........

Yea, I never really liked colubrids before thats mostly why I only wanted boas and pythons, but now that he got this guy I've really changed my mind......It's definetly a must have snake...........

There sure are some really beautiful colubrids. I'd be tempted to get a mangrove snake if they weren't venemous. I used to be a lot more into cols though, before I got my blood python. She turned me into a python man.

You know what I think the main turnoff is for colubrids...is that they're so much more likely to poop on you when you take them out, simply because they've got that high metabolism.

cool beans im stoked for you lil brother...

Yea I definetly agree with you. I guess I like my pythons just because when you take them out they aren't going to be constantly moving and just constrict you and chill, while the colubrids are constantly moving. I dunno I guess that's just why I like pythons and boas.

Me too :naughty: ........You need a permit to keep them here, actually any reptile........and it's easier in DE to get a gun permit then to get a reptile permit.........
