hey guys

i was offring my calaris catfish for sale but today i wake up and found to tumors bumps near the fish head so i canceled the offer i don't know what are they and if they lethal or not and whats the Treatment i hope you will help me here's some pics :

IDK what it is, never encountered this with my fish or others. Perhaps someone who has had an experience with this symptom will chime in. I guess it could be fluids (swelling), or tissue (growth/tumor; may occur when heavy metals are present in the water), or a strangely-placed fat deposit. I doubt it is a burn (like from a heater) or an infected wound (there would be redness), or an embedded parasite. I doubt it has anything to do with sexual/spawning behavior.

If it was my fish and no one could tell me what it was, I'd make sure my water is perfect (including the absence of heavy metals, including iron) and wait and see, especially if the fish feeds and behaves normally.

i'm sure that my water is perfect .... and its can't be burn or beating or something cuz they have it in the both sides

and its active and eat normally

I cant see this really well on my phone but the areas circled are where bone is covered by thick flesh in clarius i have dissected before. Something could be causing swelling there. Has it been skitish or hit objects in the tank while swimming? I wish i had one of my clarius skulls with me to take some pics to show you the bone placement. Hope this helps some as i cant make out much in the pics on my phone besides the general area circled.

yeaaah my kinsman told me that there skull is expanding is that true or something ?

there is nothing to hit in the tank the tank is empty and i would say its a hit or beating or something like that if its has one tumor but its have 2 in the both sides its impossible to get hit in the same place in every side !!

so we cou'd say its something from the fish it self not from hitting or beating or something like that !!

do i have to worry about thats tumors or let it and the days will treat it ??

I thought it looked quite asymmetric, both placement and size, but with this new info, I think I could see that the bumps can be very close to being symmetric. In this case, I'd worry even less and just wait it out and continue close observation.
