Short Version:

Basically some douche bag poured paint all over my car. I have my suspicions as to who it is, but no proof. There may be a chance they were caught on the complex's security camera, but it's pretty slim. I told the management and filed a police report. Anyway, what else can I do at this point?

Full Story:
We've had problems before with the neighbors we suspect. They're loud, rude and inconsiderate. I get up for work at 4 am, yet they are always up making noise, having people over drinking being loud till 2 in the morning. We've called the cops on them several times. They always retaliate against us. They once called the cops on us for "domestic things" as the girl put it. The cop came, of course we were just sitting around doing nothing (I was washing my face at the time). The cop knew right away it was a false report when we told him we had called the police on the neighbors previously. He said "that's what happens when you live in apartments."

Anyway, on Sunday night we had to call the cops on them AGAIN because they had some people over and were being unreasonably loud. Lo and behold, my car is vandalized this morning. I came home from school at 11pm last night, went to go to the store this morning at 11:30, found my car like that paint still wet. I reported it to the police. As I was doing that, the girl from upstairs comes out and sees me taking pictures and speaking to management, she starts screaming.

This is just a funny a funny little note one of the things she was yelling was "I have a kid, a 2 year old, why would I be wanting problems? I don't do that, I have a kid." Of course, my reply was "Just because you have a kid you won't automatically become a great person." She screamed "Yes, it does! Yes, you do!"

Oh, another question. I took some pictures so do you think it would be ok for me to scrape the paint off my windshield or should I leave it alone for the police?

Sounds like you should let the cops figure it out now that they are involed.Sorry to hear.
Thanks.

Yeah, waiting on the cops will be great. And in the meantime I get no sleep and have all my personal property destroyed.

But what else can I do, right? This sucks!

Seems the damage isn't exactly ON the car's only window.. U can scrap off the pain on the glass...

U might have a hard time on the roof.. but i think it should be fine..

Ya. people like this are just bad.. u'll find urself with more problem if u confront it.. But def see if the security camera has footage of it..

I feel for you. I dated a girl who's ex did crap like that to me. At one point I found a 2 liter bottle filled with gas and a burned up rag under my car and the cops still did nothing. I spent 2 weeks sleeping in my car with a black blanket over me till I caught the dude red handed. So its kinda like that or move...

wo dude. sorry that happened. the lady sounds seriously messed up.

if i were you id confront them with like, your phone on or were a wire to see if they admit to it.

sorry again dude.

stick it to them they asked for it and they are going to get an answer.

Oh, it's on the top, too, and the back, the hood. I think I can get it off, but it's the mere fact that they even did it to begin with.

And we already had a confrontation because she came home right as I was scoping out the damage (we have to park next to each other, too).

Sorry revenge threads always end up getting ugly.

Ive already had to edit several posts. I suggest you put a camera on your property to get ahold of the person. Otherwise consult a lawyer...
