my carpinte is trying to breed with my HRP

Well It looks like my female carpinte is trying to breed with my male HRP. Its funny watching her she is really trying hard to get his attention she is constantly trying to swim next to him and tail slap him and swimming loops around him. she is also trying to herd him into one of the caves or flower pots every chance she gets and when he gets near a pot she zips in and starts to clean it. He on the other hand is constantly trying to get away from her. They are also both bearing faciel scratches around there mouths looks like they have been doing some lip locking.

I think the biggest problem for my HRP is that he is smaller then she is. He is about 4-4.5 inches and she is pushing 5-5.5.

I have seen a texas that i swear was a female flirt with this male convict For like a year and ended up putting them in seperate tanks and the texas ended up being a male.Not saying this is the case but it might be how old is the texas thats a decent size female if she is a female.
