i wanted to share these spawn photos , these carpintis are from vontihillo , i just got rid of the others . another mfker andrew got em . i hope all is well here . the male is acting like he doesn't give a crap , ill let you know what happens ....
actually they look way better in person , these are nice fish and im pretty sure andrew is gonna get a pair too . there was another male and female hanging around together . thanks ira
ya me too , at first the male seemed uninterested but last night i watched them for awhile and it was pretty cool , every time the female wanted to swim around in her house (135 gallon)she would just take off really fast and the male would guard the eggs then when she came back he would take off hella fast . they repeated this about 3 times and i dont know why they were in such a hurry but it was pretty funny . after all of this i hope they are good parents and not cannibals , ill keep you posted ...
Awesome - congrats on the hopefully successful spawn. I couldn't help but notice the intake directly over the eggs...I am sure you have made the necessary adjustments to prepare for the fry hatching.
AWESOME!!, yeah ive got a male one of these myself and can attest to their beauty these pics do no justice to show the vibrant deep blues they actually are how large is your pair? my male is the dominant male in the tank and was just at the 6in mark when i measured him about 2 weeks ago
