I think the fish are a little too trusting. If my cat takes out one of my koi or goldfish....I will be ticked :irked:

Then why show approval when the cat is near the pond?

Pretty fish, though.

The cat loves to drink pond water. My wife took the pic when I wasn't home, but I usually try to get the cat away from the pond if she is close by....although I have watched her before to see what she would do, and she hasn't ever tried to get any fish. The cat is over a year old and I have had the pond the whole time, so it shouldn't be a problem. I wonder if when the koi get really big if they will scare her (cat) or become more of a target for her?

Oh. I feel ya. It's rough to train animals when not everyone is on board.

I'm sure the cat is in for a ride if he hooks a bigger fish. :D

Eh, just give him a little nudge the next time he's looking too closely at the koi. He won't go back by the pond for a good long while ;).

Very sweet picture... i have a dog thats the same as your kitty... always staring at my goldies...:D:D

A shot for the garden hose will teach him....

Aw, that's too cute!

My poor cats only get to stare through the glass. This is a crappy picture, but I just love the way my girl is tilting her head, like, "well, hello mr. ram!...if only I could figure out how to get past that lid..."
