So i just got home and noticed this gash on my clarius cat. He ate np and isnt rent breathing differently. But can this be fatal? What do i do? I dont have another tank to put him in.

Is it the big patch of skin missing on his tummy?

If your water is perfect and this is not a result of an attack from a tank mate, then there is a good chance he will heal, albeit you must find out how it came about.

They are literally top survivalists. I find them half dead and missing skin patches every year our seasonal water recedes and they rebound just fine in my tanks.

But again, If I were you, I'd earnestly try to find out how this damage came about. Without this knowledge, it is very hard to say what will happen from here.

The puncture/rip on the top (if that what it is) would appear to indicate a fang in the mouth that latched on to him. If this is predation/aggression, you cat has no chance. I tend to think you need to find another tank and find him a new home before it is too late.

I moved him to my aunts 50g for now. Hes only 9", its not ideal but for now its better than dying

Cool. I wouldn't try nothing other then clean water and aquarium salt.
