I just got a channel catfish. Can some one tell me what I should do about him. My channel catfish is not eating and I don't know whats causing it. He is around 3 inches and I got him from the store not the wild. I have another around the same size but it is fine.

U just got a fish and the move causes stress, normally fish will take a few days, even weeks to eat. Leave lites off and leave him be, hopefully the water is ammonia/nitrite free. But if you had him on a drip his acclimation would have been much smoother, mine have always eaten that night, u have to understand that the store u got him from has different water params then ur setup (ph harness temp etc) so there is some natural adjustments the fish will overcome as long as tank is in decent shape. Temp 78ish nitrates <40ppm stable ph
Dont introduce more food, wait 24 hours and retry
