That is indeed a synodontis eupterus.

No it is not. It is the most common hybrid. Telltail is the pattern on the tail fin in the photo. Eupterus has a fine pattern that is most clearly different from the spotting on the body.

I will make it clear that when I was looking at the fish my eyes only scanned the body and never went to the tail. For that I apologize. Thank you for correcting me Victor.
