Hi all,

This was my masterpiece when I had him for almost 3yrs (~24")

Had to reluctantly sell him away as my tank was not big enough to accommodate

Came across these 2 after almost 6mths being cat-less. . . Decided to kick start again. . .

Its a hybrid (sailfin pim+RTC) as told and also known to my own knowledge :grinno:

Thanks for viewing

No way! Where in the world have you found them? Many or pretty much all say they are impossible to find. I am thinking someone probably in SE Asia is experimenting with these guys again. How much did you pay, if you don't mind?

Also, beware, they are not a viable hybrid, meaning not hardy, especially when young... or so the keepers like Oddball and Necrocanis report. That's one of the reasons for their rarity.

It appears I see a saddle mark, characteristic of Leiarius pictus, not L. marmoratus. It could be a hybrid between an RTC and a L. pictus.

Nice find been looking for the rtc x marble hybrid for the last 4 yrs. Where did u pick them up if u don't mind me asking.

I am from Asia so my guess is the indo guys are breeding them.

Yes I guess its a leiarus pictus n a RTC due to the white line b4 the dorsal.

Yes I understand being a hybrid, their genetic is weaker for juveniles at this size and I just found out that one has ich

I used NIKA white spot medication and hoping for the best it'll pull through :nilly:

After a hearty meal of market prawn

Wow what a find ive got to find me one of these there stunning , hope he pulls through

Little guys are packing on some weight & Length... Looking more like the Pictus than the RTC... Deff gonna be a couple stunners when they get bigger keep us updated... Thanks for sharing this rare Hybrid with us.
