Thanks! ... yeah my Male Pearsei has grown very fast. and he is huge. i would say he's getting close to 13" and very thick. i rehomed the female yesterday. to many failed breeding attempts and the male was starting to beat up the female. [ i wil post the new vid after the female was rehomed very soon.] ... plus i was concerned about bio load. my Synsupilums are the stars of my tank. .. my tank is approx 140 gallon. 6 foot x 2 foot.Very nice! Man that Pearsei is growing fast. How big is he? What size tank is that?
I have condidered it. and it think your probably right. before this stocking i used white sand, and though i liked it, but overall i wasn't happy with sand getting into filter intakes; and i didn't like vacumming sand as well. though i like the look of sand better and i think fish are more comfortable in sand. ... obviously you can tell that i have been going back. ... one thing though, i believe in a lot of filtration (and different types of filtration in combonation) and a lot of water movement. the watermovement doesnt go with sand. .....have you considered switching to a lighter substrate? It really makes the color pop out in Vieja species imo. Fish look otherwise in great shape, how big is the tank btw?
HA HA. ... Glad i may have inspired you a bit.Tanks like this is why I hate fish keeping. All day I've been watching my tanks with only 1ca and now I want another tank.
