How long can I use epsom salt in my main tank ? And would I have to do a water change every time I put it in ?

How do you know they have parasites? Epsom salts are a mild laxative and may help the fish with mild digestive issues.
With African Rift Lake cichlids you can keep Epsom salts in the tank all the time (it can impact your pH). You don't want to change the water chemistry all at once.
