Have you tested your water?
No
If I did not test my water...
  1. ...I recognize that I will likely be asked to do a test, and that water tests are critical for solving freshwater health problems.
Do you do water changes?
Yes

Bobo had a single lymph spot a few days ago. Looked like a small unicorn horn on her head. It dissolved after I added salt. Then she got two more lumps at the same location which turned into a wound like a hole punch. I started treatment with sulfaplex. In two days it has exploded. She gets an 80% w/c every 2 days. I'm moving my severum Corn to a tub temporarily (I'm waiting on a stand for the 125).

When her wound first opened up I dabbed with peroxide and used anti-bac gel swab. She is currently being treated with sulfaplex but I'm at a loss here. No clamped fins. Other than not eating the past day or so she's acting normal but I'm concerned about infection.

This is crazy, in two days:

I feel like I have an affinity with Bobo, as it was this fish which piqued my interest in chocolate cichlids. If it wasn't for Bobo I would not have mine now.

I wish you the best of luck FINWIN FINWIN in getting her back to full health. She is in good hands at least.

She just seems prone to this lymph randomly. I'm hoping now she's in the tank alone it will help. I have the lights out.

Curious - do you know if anything may be leeching into the tank that chocolates are rather susceptible to? Anything in the diet?

How long should I treat with the sulfaplex? She just had treatment 2 yesterday.

If you did not see improvement with treatment 1, then it's not working. Start a new treatment when you get new meds. '

Have you thought about reaching out to the vet who helped you with your BP?

Nothing I can think of. She eats pellets and insects. I even wondered if the severum was picking at it but I saw no evidence.

I might do that. I'll start her on the kanaplex. Her wound shifts a lot, looking better then worse which is confusing.
