Beautiful chocolates!!! Gets me pumped for mine to grow. I have 6 along with 6 Oscars and I am very impressed how they can eat and snag food quicker the the O's! Mine are only about 4 inch at the moment
Hello I love your chocolate cichlids mine is about 6 inches long but big he is more of a brown and red sometimes but often turns very pale white but for some reason he is aggressive when he needs to be but not towards his tanks mates he is a gentle giant but also very shy last year when I was moving him into the new tank he panicked and he went head first into the ground then layed head first in the water fall bubbler the pet store said he had a mini stroke he has been a very fragile fish ever since then. Is this normal for chocolates, here’s a picture of him
That happens to fish sometimes, they take a nose dive right in the substrate, you have to be gentle in moving from tank to tank, don't just dump it, lower him in the water and slowly remove the net and let it swim away, even then they can freak out but this is what I do. He didn't have a stroke that's for sure.
