I came from school and checked all my fish, I see the king of the tank (also my favourite) stuck in a hole in one of the castles inside the tank. He went in so deep inside the hole that he couldn't get out and his head wasn't in water. I don't know how long he was outside out of the water, who knows.. 1 hour, 4 hours, don't know. Only way for me to get him out is to pull his tail....:( And.. I did. Half is of his gorgeous tail is gone from the roots which won't grow back..ever. I'm crying as I'm typing this and I wish I could of helped him. His body is dark red.. before when he wasn't stuck he was a red zebra and bright yellow/orange. Now the poor baby is red with a tattered tale with half of it gone and his head is bruised. And his side arms are gone. I feel so bad, I was crying for so long and I never thought I would cry for a fish this bad. I don't want another fish, I want to get rid of all of them or literally kill my self. He's in his hiding small, laying in the ground... I don't know to do. I hate my life and my whole week or month is ruined. Someone say what do I do.. He was my favourite fish, his tail was so pretty.. he was the biggest fish and had a great personality. He always played with other cichlids... I don't think I can have fish after what happend, my hearts completely destroyed. All his friends are wondering where he is and they see him in his tank in fact, his enemy is there with him protecting him I think.. :(. This day is the worst.. but thanks God hes alive but I think it's best if he dies, he should be put out of his misery. Someone help me..:cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:

The only thing I'm going to post here is to tell you that you should talk to your parents about your comment regarding suicide. It's nothing to joke about, and if you don't mean it as you are just typing it out of anger or being upset, then you should never, ever make light of that type of topic.

Best of luck.

Yeah,if you want to give up on the hobby that's one thing but the suicide talk is a bit much...You were able to save the fish and you don't know at this point how much it will heal and regrow its fins.Cheer up and feel good about the fact that you still have it alive. It needs you now so take care of it and remove any hazardous decorations from the tank so this kind of thing does not happen again.

Ok thanks Krichard, made me feel a bit better.

Mahs Ill try to get a picture but his body and bloody and a very big bruise on his head. Half of taili is gone and seems like his anus is hurt too I think his poop is attached to him and it's in bad shape.

realize you are not alone in having something like this happen. most people here have.
pictures or video showing the injuries might help get input.

A lot of people on here have lost entire tanks systems of their favorite fish. Relax, bring it down a notch and refocus on getting your fish fixed. Add Epsom salt to the water and increase your water changes. It might shock you how resilient some cichlids are.

Fish die and get injured all the time. Calm down and look into some ways to help him heal faster. If a fish is causing this kind of stress you may need to rethink your choice of hobbys. Fish some times die it just happens.
