I know its not a cichlid but its in the tank for know until i have one dedicated to knife fish. Lets see some of your Monsters.
 
Those have got to be some of the worst (blurry) pics ever. :D What size tank? I'd like to see some good pics of the trimac. How big's the knife?
 
Believe Ya need to re-measure Your fish or there age,no way the trimac or the BB is that large at that age
 
My male trimac took of like a weed when i got him he was just two inches long and i've only had the fish for a year, BB was at lfs for a while i was told when I picked him up , sorry about the blurry pics I will tri to get some better ones tomorrow. Knife fish is under a year and about 13in kinda skinny though I traded it to a idiot who put it in with a piranha. and didnt feed it. when i got it back it was battered , tank size's 90,75 cycling a 29 for my convics / salvinis. also looking in to building a plywood tank or seting up kiddie pool, as most of my fish are spawned pairs and use the tanks just for spawning and rearing.
 
The BB dos look strange to me as well if you know what it is if not a BB let me Know, Trimac is my fav fish, I also may go get a few jags to day another fav!
 
That Trimac is looking good.If ya get a chance some clearer pics would be nice
 
I have a pair of trimacs spawned them twice so far thay are getting ready again all stores in my area are full up would any of you be interested in buying any, later tonight i wil post better pics wife took camra to work must have made her mad she says i love my cichlids more than her
