IN YOUR HEAD
well i my ck has finally out grown the 55gal, and since i need less bio load in there anyways i caught it out and put it in my 180gal...i was debating it or not cause my tsns already ate a 6" bala shark...though the ck is like 10-12" i still thought about it...during and after the switch i realize 2 big things...1) i need a bigger net and bags:nilly:, it was like tring to fit 10lbs of crap in a 2lbs bag:grinno:....2) my other fish are freakin HUGE:WHOA:...my knife is scary small in there, but it is borderline for my cats i think...if i see the cats looking hard at the ck i will put it back till the cats are in my pond that i am bulding...the ck was in the 180 before but it got on the menu so i took it out now we'll see if we have a repeat or if were good...problibly shouldn't be tring this due to my string of luck as of late but here we go...

thanx, i am already rethinking it as my cats are 16"-20"...in the diff tanks they looked closer in size...at what size diff have cks worked with big cats?

I wouldn't trust a big Cat with a CK. Something like a TSN or a RTC will most definitely swollow it even if it's 2" smaller. CKs are pretty thin fish, so it would be a hardy meal for them.

i saw wet wiskers ck in with the big cats she has that got me thinking about putting mine back in the mix...idk it was overly checking out my rays when i got them and i am getting 3 more so i figured time to move, maybe i will put it in my stock tank with my oscars and sens till the tank is open...i for got i had it..lol (as on option for the fish to go in, as i still feed them good;))

goodluck. me, i'm currently housing my 8" ck with a 15" rtc. they seem fine..lol.

i left it in there and they seem good for now...i think it is like my 15" fl gar in the tank with them...ya they could eat it but thats alot of work when every 2 days a buffet of shrimp and tillapia come in right when the get hungry...

update...knife still in an doing great...it lived through the mid feedings witch is when i figured it would get eatten...i feed that tank every 2 days...so atleast for now i think were good....i think the height and length of the knife makes up for it being thin...

my ck is doing great and it put on an inch or two since going in...it also learned that if it waits for the big cats to finish eatting it can pick the chunks of food it likes...with out getting knocked around...i think it learned this from my gar that does this...
