My CK. Food

Hello, i just picked up a CK and i love the guy i wanna know if its ok to feed him silver fish? The old owner said he was on smelt but i thought he take some thing diff. Anyways. Are they night time feeders? An can they last in 70f water? i had him in for a day and now that water is 75f thanks

They are supposed to be nocturnal but as they get bigger 15"+ they seem to come out more during the day and will feed during the day too. My CK is my favorite out of all my fish I hope he stays with me for years to come.

How big is it? Smelt should be fine. As for the temp...75F would be the lowest I'd go. They come from a very tropical area where the water can reach 86F and the normal temp is 82F.

82 is perfect....smelt should be fine as well....how big is your tank? PIX of your CK would be sweet too.

I went to a market and saw smelt and it was like hole fish... Big ones. Do u guys cut pc off and toss it in? i have a catfish to. I ended up getting silver fish... he eats once every 2or so days. is this norm at 75~80? His in my 240g, loving it with the other fish.

Here a pic of my Ck... He has a ton of scratches from my channel cat im trying to think of which one to toss out. how big do ck get?
