My CK got beat up.

Yeeep... brought home a 5 inch common cichlid last week because he was cheap. a day after I put him in the tank, he got VERY territorial. My CK is 8 inches. The Cichlid got him good a few times. Few small bites out of his tail section.

I put the cichlid in another tank. The CK needs to heal up. Anyone ever experienced this?

yeah, keep cichlids with cichlids. or this will happen. ck are pretty mean too tho

sounds like what my 1 inch butti did to my 6 inch CK. the CK will heal pretty quick. This is the same CK that when he got to about a foot, nearly killed my 14 inch silver aro.

CKs are pretty fast healers. 98% of CKs that I've encountered haven't been aggressive towards other fish, so they become easy targets for aggressive fish.

Cool. Glad to hear he will heal quickly. I have a 7 inch Dempsy with him. They get along great. They even hang out in the same cave all day.
